Motherhood...

Woke up quite early today and stumbled upon on a Facebook page, My Child Mean Everything To Me . Brought me to tears scrolling through the pictures they have posted. Indeed, nothing compares to motherhood... from the moment you felt that little bump in your tummy, it was joy, excitement and yes, worry. I remembered that night I knew I was pregnant. I was unprepared, I had a lot of plans (yup, that's me, the great planner!), but... I got pregnant. And it was the most excruciating pain I felt. I have always wanted to be a mother, but not that time. And I did not want my baby to feel that. After a while, and a talk with my mother. I felt better and got more excited each day. I prayed just like any mother would, for complete set of fingers and toes, a whole body, no diseases. Everyday that was my prayer, and every day I waited for that moment my xiao jih will come out. life will always have its ups and downs..there are times that life is full of laughter and often times..it is full of tears...but nonetheless, life is a blessing, a purpose...we may not realize our purposes this time, but there will come a time that we'll find our purpose...remember that life is not about being happy and being sad..or being up or down..life is all about LOVE, GOD, YOU and the PEOPLE around you... ever wonder why LIFE is called LIFE?ponder for a moment and look around..you may see the answer right infront of your monitor... Family, Binignit, Good Friday and Manicure...

I was about to post a fashion-related stuff, but it was an epic fail. Anyways, even though we are not Catholics, we respect the tradition and beliefs of the Lenten Season. We spent Good Friday together (for those who don't know, we (Me, my hubby and xiao jih) are living with my parents, 3 sisters, one brother and 4 dogs, a few died last year and this year) , had some chit chat and binignit . Later we will be watching movies. Well, this is how we usually spend our weekends except the binignit. The remains of the "isang kawang" binignit It is quite disturbing that Holy Week nowadays, is not the same when we were still young, where even staying at home and watching movies will make you feel it's Lenten. A time for repentance and honoring the death of Jesus. But nowadays, people take the long holidays as an opportunity to have a break, go on vacation or staycation (stay at home vacation) as they say.
